I wanted to mention a feature of DPM 2010 that I have been looking forward to. I often receive a request from my DBA to restore a database to a network share. While I don't mind helping out, I know it's annoying for him to have lost his 'control' over the SQL Server maintenance and annoying to me that I have to perform such a simple task for him.
In comes SQL End User Recovery. I reference Islam Gomaa's blog entry on setting up the End User Recovery. This tool makes a lot of people happy. I can now give my DBA his control back and I don't have to worry about the restorations. Kudos to the DPM team.
